LED MARINE BEACONS
VLB-36 LED Marine Beacon
A self-powered marine beacon with up to 320 cd peak intensity with 7 and 10 degree vertical divergence. Three sizes of solar box (medium size shown). Designed to meet US Coast Guard specification 502 and 503 for 5 nm Self Cointaned Beacon.
Mounting is via 3 studs on 200 mm diameter circle. Enclosure is fully sealed against ingress of salt spray and moisture. Design life of 12 years in harsh marine environments, with no maintenance except a battery change after six years.
The VLB-36 is also available as a beacon only (no solar box).
Approved for use as Class A, B and C lights for artificial island and structures in US Coast Guard 8th District under CFR 33 Part 67

Vertical divergence options of 2.5, 5 or 10 degrees
This family of beacons can be stacked from 1-8 tiers. The lighthouse beacon (left) provides more than 10 miles range from 8 tiers (15M at T=0.85).
The buoy beacon (right) provides ranges of 4 -6 miles from one tier. Vertical divergence 10 deg.

VLB-67 LED Marine Beacon
The VLB-67 is Vega’s short range LED beacon covering 2 to 4NM at 0.74T. The beacon is available as a standalone beacon or as a complete self contained unit with solar panel and battery. Two sizes of solar/battery packs are available. The large unit allows the VLB-67 to be used at higher latitudes or with longer duty cycles. The vertical divergence of the VLB-67 is 7°.
Optional internal GPS synchronisation.
Optional sync wire on Self Contained unit.
Optional data port (RS-232 or RS-485). Bidirectional IR programming.
Optional alarm/monitor wire.

VLB-42 LED Marine Beacon
(Short Range)
Provides 2M or 3M range using a single high-powered LED as the light source. Fully sealed, and programmed with Vega TVIR remote. Colours are available in red, white, yellow and green.

VLL-43 LED Linear Lead Light
A powerful and versatile uni-directional lantern ideal for marking short ranges or obstacles. Can be stacked end-to-end to give an extended line source. Fully sealed and very robust, with plastic enclosure and aluminium heat sink. Rated for 100% duty cycle. Easily mounted against a vertical pole. No maintenance required. Each unit 300 mm (12") tall. Available in red, green, yellow, white and blue.
