Happy Holidays

We would like to wish all of you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. Be safe if you are out on the water and remember there will always be a Vega light guiding the way.

2016 has been a successful year which has seen Vega go from strength to strength. This has been demonstrated with successful installations in some of the most challenging waterways around the world such as Diego Garcia, Paraná River and the Panama Canal.

We will be closing down from 5pm NZ time on Wednesday 21stDecember and will re-open for business on Monday 9th of January.

For any urgent enquiries during this time please contact your local Business Development Manager at www.vega.co.nz/contacts. Please continue to use our service platform Zendesk for any service related requests. To login to Zendesk click here.

The VLB-44 Continuing to Guide the Way

Since featuring the success of the VLB-44 in May of this year, a growth of 177% in units sold (compared to last year) has resulted in hundreds more of these lights being sold all around the world. The VLB-44 is Vega’s most versatile LED marine beacon, which caters for a wide range of marine applications.

Using highly efficient optics, the VLB-44 is capable of producing 175 candela per Watt (depending on vertical divergence). This level of efficiency significantly reduces the solar panel and battery requirement in standalone applications.

The quality and efficiency of the VLB-44 was recognised in 2014 when the United States Coast Guard renewed its contract with Vega to supply the VLB-44.

Check out our case study on Talaimannar Lighthouse to see how the VLB-44 has performed in the field.

The VLB-44 comes in 3 configurations and is available from 1-8 tiers:
• 10 degree vertical divergence for buoys
• 5 degree vertical divergence for land/pole use
• 2.5 degree vertical divergence for lighthouses
