TWR Lighting is a worldwide leader in specialised hazard and aviation obstruction lighting products and services.
Their primary focus will be selling the VLB-5 FAA/ICAO light for the wind power industry. Vega CEO Arjen Maarleveld says, "We are really excited to be working with market leader TWR to develop these great opportunities in this market."
Vega is putting the finishing touches on VegaAIS which brings the next level of AIS technology to the aids to navigation market.
VegaAIS provides the ability to virtualise hazard detection and the aids to navigation p
rocess with virtual and synthetic beacons.
Ports of Auckland have been trialling the product for the last couple of years and are very satisfied with it.
“Ports of Auckland has been working with Vega and EAL Electrical for a couple of years now to trial the VegaAIS technology on one of our main channel buoys. It works as advertised and we see great potential to use it more widely within the port,” says Ports of Auckland Marine Engineer Rob Willighagen.

Peter has joined Vega as the Business Development Manager for Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Originally from Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden, Peter spent some years in the Swedish navy developing his maritime knowledge.
Now based in Germany, his role with Vega is to work with channel partners and clients to provide the best possible navigation solutions.
He is well versed for the challenge with over 25+ years of product, marketing and business management experience in various high tech sectors in the US, France and Germany.
Outside of work, Peter's interests include photography, guitar, tennis and sailing.
